Tilton Gallery is pleased to announce the acquisition of Tomashi Jackson's City of Quartz (Wicker Sun), 2020 by the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. 

Tomashi Jackson's work is also included in the collections of the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles; the Baltimore Museum of Art, Baltimore, MD; The Studio Museum in Harlem, New York and the Pizzuti Collection of Columbus Museum of Art, Columbus, Ohio. 

Jackson, born in 1980 in Houston, Texas, lives and works in Cambridge, MA and New York City. Past solo museum exhibitions include the Wexner Center for the Arts, Columbus, Ohio and the Zuckerman Museum of Art, Kennesaw, Georgia. Forthcoming museum solo exhibitions include The Land Claim at the Parrish Art Museum, Southampton, NY in July 2021 and Brown II at the Harvard Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study, Cambridge, MA in September 2021. 

Her work was included in the 2019 Whitney Biennial and group shows at MASS MoCA, Williamstown, MA in 2017, the Contemporary Art Center, New Orleans, LA in 2019, the Moody Center for the Arts, Houston, TX and the Contemporary Art Center, Houston, TX. Among many other upcoming exhibitions, her work will be included in Off the Record at the Guggenheim Museum, NY in April 2021; and in What is Left Unspoken, Love at the Hugh Museum of Art, Atlanta, GA also in 2022.
